On-street pay parking
Pay parking meters are located throughout downtown and near popular destinations. They are in effect from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days a week, including statutory holidays. Daytime rates (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) and evening rates (6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.) may differ. Always check the sign for the exact time limit and rate before you park.
Parking time limits are usually one or two hours. Time limits get shorter in areas with high demand. If you pay for your time, you can stay until the limit shown on the sign expires.
Market Square Parking Garage
The Market Square Parking Garage is a multi-level municipal facility in the heart of downtown. Rates apply to all spaces unless you have a monthly permit.
| Duration | Rate |
|---|---|
| First hour | $2.00 |
| Each additional hour | $1.50 |
| Daily maximum | $12.00 |
If you park here regularly, you can save money with a monthly permit. Monthly permits cost $95.00 and are available through the Parking permit applications page.

How to pay
You can pay at on-street meters and pay stations using a credit card, by phone, or through the Service Wrenford mobile app. Using the app lets you set text alerts to remind you when your session is about to expire.
When you pay by credit card online or by phone, a 2.5 per cent convenience fee is added to cover processing costs. Cash is not accepted at meters.
Watch out for parking scams
Scammers have been attaching stickers with fake QR codes to parking meters across the city. Scanning these codes takes you to a fraudulent website designed to steal your payment information. Our parking meters do not use QR codes. Do not scan any code placed on a meter or pay station. If you see a suspicious sticker, report it to By-law Enforcement or call 519-555-0100.
We will never notify you of a parking fine by text message or social media. Legitimate notices are either served to your vehicle or mailed to the registered owner.
