Open or close waste service account

Learn how to open or close your garbage, recycling, and organics collection account in Wrenford, including required information and fees.

Opening a waste service account

You can open a new waste collection account when you move into a property in Wrenford. We collect garbage, recycling, and organics for your address. To open an account, you will need to provide your full name, contact information, service address, and the date you want service to start. Please give us at least three business days' notice so your bins are ready on time.

  • A $15.00 account setup fee applies. This will appear on your first utility or property tax bill.
  • You must provide a valid phone number and email address for service alerts and billing notices.
  • If you are a business or multi-family property, you will need to provide your business number and property management details.

You can open an account online through Service Wrenford, in person at City Hall, or by phone.

Closing a waste service account

When you move out of a Wrenford property, you must close your waste service account. There is no fee to close an account. You can close your account online, in person, or by phone. We recommend closing your account on your last day of tenancy or ownership to avoid unnecessary charges. If you are moving to another address within the city, you should instead transfer your services to the new address.

Landlord service agreements

If you own rental properties, you can set up a Landlord Service Agreement. This keeps waste collection active when tenants move in or out, so you do not have to reapply every time. You will pay a one-time $15.00 setup fee. Transfers between tenants are free. To cancel the agreement, you must submit a termination request to Customer Service.
