How to access the archive

What is included in the recordings

Recordings cover the open portions of council and committee meetings. You will see and hear councillors, staff presenters, and members of the public who registered to speak. You can also view the documents that were presented during the session. Most meetings are held on the second and fourth Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Some committees meet on different dates. Check the Council meeting schedules page for the full calendar.

Access rules and privacy

All open meetings are recorded and posted free of charge. Some portions of a meeting may be closed to the public when permitted under the Municipal Act, 2001 or the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Closed portions are not livestreamed and are not saved in the online archive. Meeting recordings are kept online for 24 months before being archived offline. You can request a copy of an older recording by contacting the City Clerk's Office.

Accessibility features

Video recordings include automated captions. If you need an alternative format, such as a plain language summary or a different language, contact the Accessibility Coordinator. You can also request accommodations for attending a live meeting. Visit the Accessibility for council meetings page for more details.
