What we celebrate
Every day, thousands of people in Wrenford give their time to make our city better. Whether you help at a local park clean-up, coach a youth sports team, or support a community event, your work matters. We want to make sure you know how much we appreciate you.
Our annual awards
Each spring, the City presents three main awards to honour the people who go above and beyond:
- Wrenford Volunteer of the Year: This award recognizes an individual who has shown outstanding dedication and impact across their volunteer work.
- Community Spirit Award: We give this to a group or organization that has brought neighbours together and made a positive difference in a specific ward.
- Long Service Award: If you have given ten or more years of continuous service to a city program or a partner charity, you are eligible for this award.
How to nominate
Anyone can submit a nomination, including residents, local businesses, and community groups. To nominate someone, you simply need to fill out the nomination form and tell us about their contributions. The deadline for this year's nominations is March 1. Late forms cannot be considered.
Recognition events
Winners are celebrated at our annual Volunteer Appreciation Reception. The event usually takes place at the Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre in April, during National Volunteer Week. We also feature past winners in the Volunteer Hall of Fame on our website so their stories stay visible all year round.
