Get started or renew your licence

Whether you are launching a new venture, moving to a different address, or preparing for your annual renewal, the Wrenford Business Portal makes it simple. You can apply, pay, and download your certificate in a few clicks. Paper forms are also available if you prefer to work offline. For step-by-step instructions, see the Start a business guide.

How to apply

Log in to the portal, choose your licence category, and fill out the required fields. If you do not have an account, select the sign-up option and verify your email. Upload any supporting documents, such as landlord consent for a home-based operation, and submit. Our team reviews applications within five business days after all inspections are cleared. You will receive a confirmation email with your licence number ready to print or display.

Fees and rules

Every licence covers January 1 to December 31. A one-time $50.00 processing fee applies to new accounts. Mid-year applicants pay a monthly proration. All balances must be settled by December 31; a 10 per cent late payment fee is added to overdue accounts.

  • Home-based business licence: $85.00 annually. For operations run from a residential property.
  • Commercial or industrial business licence: $250.00 annually. For storefronts, offices, workshops and warehouses.
  • Non-resident business licence: $475.00 annually. For companies based outside Wrenford that sell or service here regularly.

Home-based operators must stay within the 30-square-metre space limit and keep customer visits to three or fewer at any time. Commercial and industrial licences require proof that the property is zoned for your intended use.

Compliance and the business directory

Your licence keeps our public directory accurate and gives customers confidence that you operate legally. All active licences are listed online so residents can verify credentials before hiring. We also use the data to track employment trends and plan infrastructure. Display your licence where it is visible to the public. Do not alter or copy it, and remember that a licence is tied to your specific location and cannot be transferred to another person or address. Check the Business directory and lookup to see your listing or search for other local operators.

Updates and contact

Expect a renewal reminder about thirty days before your licence expires. To change a business name, mailing address or physical location, submit a change request through the portal or email us. If your business closes, let us know so we can remove you from the directory and stop renewal notices. For common questions, visit the Business licence FAQs.
