What you need to know
Your business licence expires on December 31 each year. We send renewal notices about 30 days before the deadline by email or mail. If you do not renew by the deadline, a late payment fee of 10 per cent or $47.00 (whichever is greater) will be added to your bill.
If your licence expires, it cannot be renewed. You will need to apply for a brand-new licence and pay the full application fee. Keep your licence current so your business stays in good standing.

Updating your information
Before you renew, check that your contact details and business address are correct. If you changed your business name, trade name, address, or licence type, you must update your account first. You can do this online through the Wrenford Business Portal or by visiting City Hall in person.
If you have moved your business to a new location, you must submit a new business licence application. Moving is treated like a new application, and you will need to meet all zoning and inspection requirements for the new site.
Out-of-town contractors
If your business address is outside Wrenford and you only work here occasionally, you can renew your licence after December 31 without a late fee. You just need to wait until you have a confirmed job in Wrenford. If your business address is inside Wrenford, the late fee applies even if you have not started work yet.
