What you can book
You can rent a gymnasium or fieldhouse at Wrenford recreation centres for community groups, sports clubs, and non-profit events. These spaces are not available for personal use, such as birthday parties or private celebrations. You must be a registered group to make a booking. Locations and capacity
Each centre offers a different layout and equipment. Review the capacities below and choose the space that fits your group. You can view the floor plans on each Find a City facility page.
- Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre — Fieldhouse. Holds up to 300 people. Includes basketball courts, volleyball nets, and a separate fitness area.
- Ambrel Lake Recreation Centre — Gymnasium. Holds up to 200 people. Features hardwood flooring and retractable seating.
- Westbrook Community Arena — Community Hall. Holds up to 150 people. Open space with a stage area and kitchen access.
- Eastfield Twin Arenas — Dry Pad / Gym. Holds up to 250 people. Used for summer ball hockey, martial arts, and large gatherings.
How to book
Bookings open on the first Monday of December for the winter season and the first Monday of March for the spring and summer season. You can submit your request through the online Registration and booking FAQs portal.
When you apply, please provide three preferred dates and times. You will need to show us proof of insurance and a signed liability waiver before your booking is confirmed. The Rental Coordinator will email you within five business days to confirm availability. Do not make a payment until you receive the official confirmation email.
Rates and fees
Rates change depending on whether you are a minor group (youth or senior programs) or an adult group, and whether you book on a weekday or a weekend. All fees are listed below. Prices include taxes.

A $25.00 cleaning deposit is required for every booking. The deposit is refunded within ten business days if the space is left in good condition. A $15.00 administration fee applies to all applications.
Rules and conditions
Groups must follow these guidelines to keep the spaces safe and usable for everyone.
- Supervision: Every group must assign a responsible adult to stay with participants at all times. You are responsible for the conduct of everyone in your group.
- Footwear: Only soft-soled shoes or indoor sneakers are allowed in the gym. No cleats, street shoes, or heels. Socks are required for children under five.
- Equipment: Basketball hoops, nets, and portable bleachers are available. You must return all equipment to its original position before leaving. Dragging equipment across the floor is not permitted.
- Food and drink: Food and beverages are only allowed in the kitchen or lounge areas. No glass containers or alcohol is permitted in the gym or fieldhouse.
- No-shows: If you cannot make your booking, you must cancel at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to show up without notice will result in a warning. Three no-shows will suspend your group's booking privileges.
- Setup and cleanup: The rental time includes your setup and breakdown. Please leave the space clean and take all trash with you.
