The City of Wrenford is officially opening the Wildrye Splash Pad at Wildrye Park, 90 Wildrye Drive, this week with new interactive water features designed for children and parents alike. The splash pad is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. throughout the summer season.
You will find a wider range of spray jets, ground-level fountains, and a central play structure that responds to movement. The City worked with local artists and community groups to design features that encourage active play while keeping water waste to a minimum. All surfaces are slip-resistant, and the area is surrounded by shaded seating for caregivers.
"We want every family to have a safe, cool place to play this summer. These new features are a great addition to the Wildrye neighbourhood," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "We also encourage you to bring sunscreen, stay hydrated, and supervise children at all times while they are playing."
The splash pad is free to use and does not require a registration. You can explore other outdoor recreation options on the City's recreation page for a full list of parks and facilities.
