Transit shelter advertising program expands to downtown corridor stops

The City of Wrenford is expanding its transit shelter advertising program, adding new promotional panels to shelters along the downtown corridor starting this month. The initiative gives local businesses and community groups a clear way to reach you, whether you are riding the bus to work or strolling through the downtown core.

The expansion covers shelters from the Downtown Transit Terminal east along Mercer Street and Tamsin Street to Mill Street. Each shelter now features a standard 3-foot by 4-foot panel, with a larger digital display planned for the next phase. Wrenford Transit will manage the installations and coordinate with the Downtown Wrenford BIA to ensure all signage aligns with the streetscape.

"We know our downtown is the heartbeat of the city, and keeping it vibrant means supporting the businesses that call it home," said City Manager Robert Eng. "These panels give local shops and services a direct line to the thousands of people who ride our buses every day."

Businesses interested in securing a panel can submit an application through the City's online portal. Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to Wrenford-based enterprises. The City also reserves the right to reject advertisements that violate City by-law or the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.
