Student transit pass prices adjusted for the 2026 academic year

Starting September 1, 2026, you will see the monthly student transit pass price adjusted to $68.00 for the 2026–2027 academic year. The change applies to all K–12 students attending the Wrenford District School Board or Wrenford Catholic District School Board.

Wrenford Transit has seen steady growth in ridership over the past two years, and rising fuel and maintenance costs have put pressure on the operating budget. The modest increase will help keep the transit network running on time and allow the City to continue investing in cleaner, more reliable buses.

“Like every public service, our operating costs have gone up,” said Daniel Osei, Transit Manager. “We reviewed all fare categories carefully and kept the student rate as low as possible while ensuring we can maintain safe, reliable service for the young people who depend on it every day.”

The adjusted fare applies to your monthly student pass, which offers unlimited rides on all fixed routes and Wrenford Access. If you currently hold an active pass through August, you will not need to replace it; the new rate will automatically apply to your next renewal. You can pick up a new or renewed pass at the Downtown Transit Terminal, Wrenford City Hall, or through the Wrenford Transit mobile app.

If you are moving out of the service area, graduating, or otherwise unable to use the full month, the City offers prorated refunds for unused weeks. You can apply for a refund at the Downtown Transit Terminal or online through the Wrenford Transit app.
