WRENFORD, ON — Railside Gallery is pleased to announce a new spring exhibition featuring the work of local Indigenous artists. The exhibition opens on April 17, 2026, and runs through June 30, 2026, at the gallery located at 300 Railside Road.
You will see a variety of mediums on display, including painting, printmaking, textile art, and mixed media installations. In keeping with the City's commitment to learning and reconciliation, the exhibition centres Indigenous voices and storytelling. The City of Wrenford acknowledges that we live, work and gather on the traditional territories of Indigenous peoples who have cared for this land for generations, and we commit to learning and to reconciliation.
Alongside the gallery display, the City's Arts & Heritage team will host free public workshops on the second Saturday of each month. These sessions give you a chance to learn about traditional techniques and connect with the creators. A final community showcase will be held on the evening of June 24 to celebrate the artists and the themes explored throughout the spring.
"We are thrilled to partner with local Indigenous creators to bring this exhibition to Railside Gallery," said Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. "Sharing these stories and artistic practices in a public space is a meaningful way to honour the cultures that have shaped this region long before we became a city here."
Admission to the exhibition and all workshops is free. You can view the full schedule and reserve your spot for the hands-on sessions on the gallery's webpage. We encourage you to arrive early, as workshop spaces are limited and will fill quickly.
