Wrenford Transit will adjust its regular schedule on Monday, October 26, 2026, to give voters an easy and reliable way to reach any of the 26 voting locations across the city. The extended service runs from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on election day, matching the hours of the voting places.
On election day, all 14 fixed routes will run on a modified timetable. Buses will leave the Downtown Transit Terminal and the main terminals every 10 minutes during the morning rush and the evening drop-off period. Extra buses will be added to Routes 1, 4, 7, and 12, which serve the busiest neighbourhoods. Riders can use a single ride pass, a monthly pass, or a Wrenford Access card to board.
Wrenford Access will also run on an extended schedule. Riders who need specialized transit to vote should book their trip as soon as possible. Bookings can be made through the Wrenford Transit app, by calling 311, or at the Downtown Transit Terminal. Please allow extra time for pick-up and drop-off on election day.
Here is what you need to know to plan your trip:
- Check the modified timetable before you leave home.
- Bring a piece of photo identification, or two pieces of mail that show your name and Wrenford address.
- If you live near a voting place, consider walking or cycling. The Tamsin River Trail System and the downtown grid are safe and well-signed for election day.
- Watch the service alerts page for any last-minute changes due to road closures or weather.
“We want to make sure every resident can get to the polls without stress,” says Daniel Osei, Transit Manager. “Our crews are ready, and we have planned extra capacity to handle the surge in ridership on both the morning and evening sides of the day.”
Wrenford Transit will post real-time bus locations on the Wrenford Transit app throughout the day. If you need help finding your nearest voting place, you can call 311 or visit the transit information page for a full list of locations and route maps.
