Kingfisher Outdoor Pool at 15 Kingfisher Court extended its operating hours for the Canada Day weekend from July 1 to July 5. The extra time was added so residents could enjoy the outdoor pool and splash pad even after typical work and school schedules.
During the four-day holiday period, the pool stayed open until 8:00 p.m. each day. Lifeguards were on duty for the full extended shift to keep everyone safe. Families could bring their own food to the picnic area, and the regular drop-in swim rates applied.
If you missed the extended hours, you can still visit the pool for the rest of the summer season. The pool runs from late June to Labour Day. Check the facility hours page for the current daily schedule and drop-in times.
"We wanted to give everyone in Wrenford a longer window to celebrate Canada Day safely," said Fiona Gallagher, GM Community Services. "Having the pool open late made it easier for working parents and schools to plan their weekend activities."
Remember to arrive at least 30 minutes before closing time, as the pool requires a full exit window for changing and showering. Standard pool rules, including swimwear coverage and showering before entering the water, still apply.
