The City of Wrenford is pleased to announce that the Kingfisher Outdoor Pool and Wildrye Splash Pad are officially open for the summer season. Located at 15 Kingfisher Court, Wrenford, ON N4Q 4C1, and Wildrye Park, 90 Wildrye Drive, Wrenford, ON N4Q 6F2, these water features are now welcoming residents.
The splash pad at Wildrye Park is open daily for free play. The main pool at Kingfisher follows the standard outdoor pool season, running from late June to Labour Day. Before visiting, check the daily water quality reports to review the latest test results. The City's water operations team treats all recreational water features to provincial health standards and publishes test results each morning.
When you visit, bring your own towel, water bottle, and swimwear. Outside food is not permitted inside the pool enclosure, and the City does not rent out chairs. Admission fees apply for the Kingfisher pool, while splash pad access is free. You can review current rates on the Water & Wastewater rates page. Please supervise children at all times and respect the posted rules for both sites.
"Summer recreation is a cornerstone of our community, and we want every family to have a safe, refreshing place to spend the day," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "Our maintenance crews have been working through the spring to ensure all equipment, fencing, and water systems are in top shape."
If outdoor water restrictions are in effect, they will not affect the operation of these recreational features. Residents should still follow the outdoor water restrictions for their lawns and gardens to keep the city green.
