The City of Wrenford is opening the Kingfisher Outdoor Pool at 15 Kingfisher Court for public swim lessons starting April 14. Classes are designed for all ages and skill levels, from first-time swimmers to those looking to build their confidence in the water.
Registration for the spring and summer programs opened on March 2. Caroline Dubé, Recreation Programs Coordinator, says the team is preparing for a busy season. “We are encouraging anyone interested in swim lessons to visit our recreation page to see the available time slots and age groups,” says Dubé. “It is a great way to get active before the outdoor pool season officially starts in June.”
If you plan to drive to the pool, keep in mind that on-street parking on Kingfisher Court follows the seasonal parking ban rules. With snow removal operations wrapping up across the city, crews will be shifting focus to road surface repairs and clearing catch basins along the main routes. Residents who need to keep a vehicle on a snow route can apply for an exemption through the snow route parking ban program.
All participants must bring a swimsuit, towel, and goggles. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult in the change rooms. Lifeguards and instructors will be on site to ensure safety and provide hands-on guidance.
