Kingfisher Outdoor Pool opens May 9 for the 2026 summer season

Kingfisher Outdoor Pool opens its gates for the 2026 summer season on Saturday, May 9. Located at 15 Kingfisher Court in the Kingfisher neighbourhood, the seasonal facility will feature its outdoor swimming pool and splash pad for residents of all ages.

City crews have finished filling and treating the water. The Water & Wastewater department monitors the pool daily to keep chemical levels balanced and the water clear and safe. Staff will run the first full-day of swimming and splash pad activities on May 9, with regular hours starting the following week. The facility also includes shaded seating and washrooms.

"We are excited to welcome families back to the pool this year," said Patrick Nguyen, Water Operations Manager. "Our team tests the water quality multiple times each day and we have updated our chemical treatment protocols to match the latest provincial guidelines. We want everyone to have a safe and refreshing summer."

As outdoor temperatures rise, residents are reminded to follow the outdoor watering schedules for nearby parks and lawns. If you notice discoloured water at home after a main break or flushing, run your cold tap for a few minutes before use.
