Kingfisher Outdoor Pool to open June 12 pending weather check

The Parks & Trails team is preparing the Kingfisher Outdoor Pool at 15 Kingfisher Court to open for the season on June 12, pending a final weather and safety check. Staff will inspect the pool deck, filtration systems, and splash pad features to ensure everything meets city standards before handing over operations to Recreation & Culture.

Once the gates open, visitors can enjoy both the main swimming area and the adjacent splash pad. The splash pad operates daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., weather permitting. Because we are working closely with Tamsin Valley Public Health on water quality and local weather forecasts, the June 12 opening date may shift if heavy rain or cooler temperatures arrive.

“Outdoor pools have something for everyone,” said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. “We want families to plan their summer visits knowing they will have a safe, clean place to cool off. We will keep you updated if the weather changes our plans.”

Residents should check the city website or call 519-555-0125 before heading out. If you are planning a group visit or a birthday party, please review the group booking and rental rules on our facilities page. Keep in mind that all patrons must follow the posted pool guidelines, including showering before entering the water and using appropriate swimwear.
