The swearing-in ceremony and inaugural meeting of Wrenford’s newly elected council will take place on Monday, April 27 at Wrenford City Hall. The ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m. inside the Council Chambers, followed immediately by the first regular meeting of the 2026–2030 term at 6:00 p.m.
City Manager Robert Eng will administer the oath of office to Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price and councillors Marcus Lindqvist, Priya Raman, Tom Beaudry, Grace Whitlock, Arjun Sidhu, and Helen Marchetti. The swearing-in portion is reserved for incoming council members, their guests, and accredited media. Residents who wish to attend the meeting itself can join in person at City Hall or watch the proceedings live on the city’s website.
The 2026–2030 term officially begins on November 15, 2026, following the municipal election on October 26. All newly elected officials will take up their roles and responsibilities at that time. The inaugural meeting will cover initial administrative items, including the selection of committee chairs, approval of the first reading agenda, and a review of the annual budget engagement calendar.
“We are proud to welcome our newly elected officials as they step into their roles to serve Wrenford residents,” said City Clerk Nadia Kowalczyk. “This meeting marks the start of a fresh four-year term, and we encourage the public to follow along as council lays out its priorities for the year ahead.”
If you plan to attend in person, please bring a valid photo identification for security screening at the accessible entrance on Water Street. You can also view the full meeting schedule and submit a delegation request to speak at council by visiting the Council page.
