The City of Wrenford is asking residents to keep moving and stay well through the February Fitness Challenge, running from February 1 to 28, 2026. This community-wide initiative encourages people of all ages to build healthy habits by visiting local recreation facilities. Whether you enjoy swimming, skating, group fitness, or open gym, there are plenty of ways to participate.
Participants can visit any of the city's recreation centres, including the Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre, Northgate Aquatic Centre, Westbrook Community Arena, Eastfield Twin Arenas, and Ambrel Lake Recreation Centre. You can also check out the public skating sessions and schedules at our arenas, or browse the drop-in fitness and wellness classes available at our fitness centres.
"This challenge is a wonderful opportunity to stay active during the colder months and connect with neighbours," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager, Community Services. "We want everyone to try something new, move their bodies, and have fun while they do it."
As you visit different locations or book activities through Wrenford Recreation Online, you will earn entries into a drawing for recreation-themed prizes. The more often you participate in February, the more entries you receive. Prizes include gift cards for local businesses, monthly transit passes, and free passes to drop-in programs.
You do not need to be a member to take part. Simply show up to any scheduled drop-in activity, pay the standard admission fee, and let the staff know you are joining the challenge. You can find current schedules and fees on the Programs page.
The February Fitness Challenge is a great way to shake off the winter blues and make time for your health. Join us this February and let's make the season active, healthy, and rewarding for everyone in Wrenford.
