The Eastfield Twin Arenas at 620 Eastfield Road reopened on January 8, 2026, after emergency repairs to the roof were completed. All scheduled ice programming and public bookings are now back on track.
Crews worked through the first week of January to fix structural damage caused by heavy winter snowfall. The City's Emergency Management team coordinated with outside contractors to bring the facility back to a safe standard. The closure affected several weekly programs, so we moved a few sessions to other city arenas until repairs were finished.
If you had a booking during the closure, a staff member already contacted you by email or phone to confirm your new time or location. Public skate sessions have returned to their regular schedule. The summer ball hockey field is currently closed for winter maintenance and will reopen when the snow melts.
"Having a safe, dry ice surface is our top priority, and we are glad our crews could get Eastfield Twin Arenas back online quickly," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services.
Residents can check the latest facility updates on the Facilities page or call the arena at 519-555-0123.
