The City of Wrenford is updating the ice resurfacing schedule for Eastfield Twin Arenas for the remainder of August. These changes will make sure the two ice pads are in top condition before the fall programs and leagues start.
Starting Monday, August 10, the ice resurfacing machine will run at 1:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. every day. The earlier time gives afternoon leagues and programs a fresh surface to play on. The evening resurface keeps the ice ready for public skate sessions.
“We are making these adjustments to give residents and local leagues the best possible ice quality as we transition into the fall season,” says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. “Our ice crew works hard to maintain the rinks, and a consistent schedule makes a big difference for skaters.”
The new schedule applies to all public use and rental bookings. If your booking falls during a resurfacing window, the ice may close for up to 20 minutes. Staff will post signs on the rink doors and update the online facility schedule as soon as the ice is ready.
