City opens fall ice time booking applications for 2026 season

The City of Wrenford is now accepting booking applications for fall ice time at municipal arenas for the 2026–2027 season. Groups and leagues can submit their requests starting today, October 5, 2026, with a deadline of October 24, 2026.

The fall season runs from November 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027. Bookings are available at the Westbrook Community Arena, Eastfield Twin Arenas, Ambrel Lake Recreation Centre, Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre, and Northgate Aquatic Centre. All applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Applicants can request Monday through Friday evening slots from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., as well as weekend morning and afternoon blocks. Each request must include a proposed schedule, a list of participating teams, and proof of liability insurance. The City will review all submissions and notify successful applicants by November 10, 2026.

To submit a request, visit the Facilities section and select Book an arena or ice time. You will need to complete the Facility rental application form and upload a certificate of insurance. Current rental rates are published on the Facility rental rates page.

"We know that fall is the busiest time for community sports and recreational groups," says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "Our facilities teams work hard to balance league play, public skating, and youth programs, so we ask that applicants submit their paperwork on time and follow the guidelines closely."

Once the booking window closes, the City will finalize the ice schedule and distribute it to all approved groups in early November. For questions about capacity, ice maintenance, or scheduling conflicts, contact the Facilities team at [email protected]. For more information on arena usage and policies, visit the Facilities section.
