City opens applications for fall volunteer shifts at harvest on mercer

Applications are now open for volunteers to help run Harvest on Mercer this September. The City of Wrenford is looking for residents to step up and support this neighbourhood celebration on Mercer Street in downtown Wrenford.

Harvest on Mercer is one of our favourite autumn events. It brings the community together with local food vendors, live music, craft booths, and activities for all ages. The event runs all day, and we need volunteers to keep everything moving. We are currently opening shifts for setup crews, guest services, information booths, and cleanup teams.

Volunteers can choose shifts that fit their schedule. Most shifts are three to four hours long, running from early morning until the event wraps up in the late afternoon. No experience is required. We provide a welcome pack, a commemorative t-shirt, and a free lunch for everyone who helps out.

"Harvest on Mercer is a true neighbourhood celebration, and our volunteers are the ones who make it possible," says Rosa Castellano, Events Coordinator. "We have shifts for everyone, whether you can give us two hours or the whole day. It is a great way to meet your neighbours and enjoy a fun day downtown."

To sign up, visit the Volunteer opportunities page and select the Harvest on Mercer sign-up form. Please complete your registration by early September so we can send out your shift schedule and event details in time. If you have questions or need to request a specific shift, email the Events team at [email protected].
