Applications are now open for the 2026 Wrenford Neighbourhood Beautification Program. The programme helps property owners and community groups improve the look and feel of their neighbourhoods by covering a portion of the cost for exterior repairs and planting projects. Residents can use the funds to refresh building fronts, fix porches, or plant trees and shrubs that shade the streets. Community groups can use the funding to build pocket parks, install public art, or add seating in underused spaces.
The programme supports two main types of projects. Residential and small business owners can apply for grants of up to $3,000.00 for work on front facades and yards. Community groups and non-profit organisations can apply for up to $12,000.00 for larger greening and placemaking projects. In both cases, applicants must provide a 50 per cent match in cash or in-kind donations.
You can apply online through the City’s grant portal or pick up a paper application at Wrenford City Hall. Work cannot begin until your application is approved, and the City will not reimburse costs for projects that start early. The deadline to submit your application is February 28, 2026.
“We are pleased to support property owners and groups who invest in making our streets and parks more welcoming,” said Robert Eng, City Manager. “These grants help keep our neighbourhoods vibrant and support local businesses.”
