Wrenford's Roads & Winter Maintenance crews finished clearing the trails at Ambrel Lake Park this morning after the heavy snowfall that hit the city late last week.
The trails around the park and the boardwalk are now safe for walking and cross-country skiing. The crews used small, tracked vehicles to navigate the soft snow without damaging the ground or the park's natural features. They also cleared the main access paths near the parking lot so visitors can get in and out safely.
Residents are reminded that the overnight on-street parking ban is in effect from December 1 to March 31 between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Please move your vehicles from snow routes before the ban starts so the plows and trail-clearing equipment can do their work. While you are out enjoying the trails, please keep your pets leashed and pick up after them.
"We know how much our residents enjoy these trails during the winter months, and we're committed to keeping them accessible and safe," said James Whitford, Roads Superintendent.
The Roads & Winter Maintenance team continues to monitor weather conditions and adjust clearing schedules as needed. Visit Roads & Winter Maintenance for more details on snow clearing schedules, how to report a missed clearing, and how to request a route change.
