City announces 2026 outdoor pool opening dates

Wrenford's outdoor pools and splash pads will open for the 2026 season in late June. The City will confirm the exact opening dates for each location once the water is tested and the weather holds. All outdoor water amenities are weather-dependent and may shift slightly to keep swimmers safe.

Kingfisher Outdoor Pool and its splash pad at Kingfisher Court will be the first to open. The Wildrye Splash Pad at Wildrye Park will follow shortly after. City crews have been working through the spring to clean the pools, test the water, and check all equipment.

“We want to make sure every swimmer has a safe, clean place to cool off this summer,” said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. “Our teams are checking water quality daily and making final preparations so we can open on schedule.”

Swimming lessons, drop-in swims, and family swim times will be available once the pools open. Registration for spring and summer programs already opened the first Monday of March, and schedules are posted online. If you plan to visit, check the Facility information and hours page for daily hours and admission fees. You can also review the Holiday hours for recreation page to see when facilities may close early for statutory holidays.
