Ambrel Lake splash pad opens for summer 2026

The City of Wrenford is pleased to announce that the splash pad at Ambrel Lake Park is now open for the summer season. This follows a vote by Council earlier this month to approve operating dates and budgets for all city splash pads.

The splash pad is located at Ambrel Lake Park, 1350 Ambrel Lake Road. It is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from late June until Labour Day weekend, weather permitting. The park area remains open for regular use outside of these hours. Visitors should note that the splash pad water is treated and regularly tested for safety, but you are responsible for your own belongings.

Please supervise your children at all times. The City provides a safe environment, but staff do not act as lifeguards. Bring your own towels, water bottles, and sunscreen. To keep the facility clean for everyone, please clean up your area and take your trash with you. Littering in the park is a violation of the Untidy property bylaws.

The splash pad is one of several recreational features funded through the city's Parks and recreation strategy. Council reviews operating hours and maintenance schedules every spring to match expected usage and weather patterns.

"We want to make sure our parks remain a welcoming place for everyone this summer," said Danielle Okafor-Price, Mayor of Wrenford. "Opening the splash pad early and keeping it open through the fall gives families plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors."
