Ambrel Lake Park playground equipment installed 2026

The City of Wrenford today announced the installation of new playground equipment at Ambrel Lake Park, completing the site's spring upgrade ahead of the summer season. The new play structures, poured-in-place safety surfacing, and refreshed picnic shelters are now open for use.

The project was part of the city's annual parks improvement program. Crews worked through May to remove old equipment and pour new safety surfacing. Roads & Winter Maintenance crews also resurfaced the park's access roads and parking lots this spring to ensure safe travel for visitors. If you notice any remaining potholes or surface issues around the park, please Report a pothole through our online service request tool.

"We want to make sure our parks are safe and welcoming for everyone," says Maya Chen-Watson, Parks Planner. "This upgrade was a long time coming, and we're thrilled to see families taking advantage of the new space."

Visit the park on 1350 Ambrel Lake Road to enjoy the new equipment. You can reserve one of the covered picnic shelters online for your next family gathering. For more information on park amenities and booking, visit Ambrel Lake Park.
