The City of Wrenford is asking residents to help shape the 2026 Budget through the launch of the 2026 Budget Engagement Survey. Starting today, November 15, 2025, you can visit the survey online to tell us what matters most to you. Whether you care about road repairs, park upgrades, transit routes, or waste collection, your answers will go straight to City Council and staff as we plan next year’s spending.

The survey runs until January 31, 2026, and takes about ten minutes to complete. If you prefer to answer in person, look for our pop-up budget information tables at the Wrenford Public Library Main Branch, the Northgate Aquatic Centre, and the Ambrel Lake Recreation Centre throughout December. You can also join a free Budget Literacy Workshops at City Hall to learn how your tax dollars are spent.
"The 2026 Budget Engagement Survey gives every resident a direct voice in how we invest in our community," said Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. "We hear you loud and clear, and we use your feedback to build a budget that reflects your daily needs and long-term goals for Wrenford."
Once the survey closes, staff will combine your answers with past survey results, current service costs, and provincial regulations to draft the 2026 budget. The plan will cover everything from winter road maintenance and garbage and recycling to park and trail improvements and public safety programmes. The draft budget will be presented to Council in early 2026, and Council will vote on the final budget in September 2026.
If you want to see how we spent your money last year, you can view the 2025 budget documents and the quarterly operating variance reports on our website. You can also check out our plain language budget summaries to see exactly where each dollar goes.
Thank you for helping us build a stronger, more affordable Wrenford. Your input shapes our services, our infrastructure, and our future.
