The City of Wrenford is opening the Wildrye Splash Pad at Wildrye Park (90 Wildrye Drive) to the public on Tuesday, July 8. The new spray deck is the latest addition to the city's network of free, outdoor cooling stations for families and neighbourhoods.
The splash pad will run daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., weather permitting, from late June through Labour Day. You can enjoy the spray without a fee or a timed session. It is located right next to the playground and picnic shelters in Wildrye Park, making it a convenient stop for a quick break or a longer afternoon outing.
Please remember to bring sunscreen, drink plenty of water, and supervise children at all times while playing. The ground can get warm in the sun, so consider bringing a towel or a small chair. If you need to report a maintenance issue or check the daily status of the pad, you can use the Find playgrounds and splash pads page or contact the Parks & Trails team directly.
"Summer heat is here, and having a safe, free place for kids to cool off is a top priority for our parks team," says Maya Chen-Watson, Parks Planner. "We designed the Wildrye Splash Pad to fit right into the existing park layout, so families can combine playground time, picnic shelter bookings, and splash pad play in one easy trip."
