Tamsin River Run festival vendor applications open March 1

Vendor applications for the annual Tamsin River Run festival are now open. The event takes place in May along the Tamsin River Trail, and the City is inviting local entrepreneurs, food vendors, and community groups to set up stalls and connect with runners and families.

Anyone planning to sell goods or services at the festival needs to submit a vendor application through the Economic Development office. We are especially encouraging home-based businesses and new operators to apply. If you are not sure if your business needs a municipal licence, check the start a business guide first.

"We want local entrepreneurs and community groups to have a space to connect with runners and families," said Isabel Moreno, Economic Development Manager. "The Tamsin River Run brings thousands of people to the trail, and it is a great chance for vendors to introduce their products and services to the community." Applications are open until April 15, 2025. A limited number of spots remain for food vendors, while craft and retail spaces are filling up quickly.

Applicants must provide proof of a valid business licence or apply for one at the same time. Temporary vendor permits are free for registered charities and non-profit groups. All approved vendors must follow the City’s public space and noise by-laws during the event.

For a full list of application forms, map layouts, and contact information, visit the Economic Development page or call 311 inside the city limits. We look forward to welcoming a full line-up of vendors to the trail this spring.
