Starting Friday, August 4, Wrenford will move to Stage 3 outdoor watering restrictions. These rules help us manage water demand during the hottest and driest parts of the summer.
Under Stage 3, you can only water your lawn on a set day each week based on the last digit of your street number. Even addresses may water on Fridays. Odd addresses may water on Saturdays. Watering must happen between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. You must use a hand-held hose with a shut-off nozzle, a watering can, or a drip irrigation system. Automatic sprinklers and irrigation timers are not allowed during this stage.
Stage 3 stays in place until the city announces a change. If conditions get worse, we may move to Stage 4, which stops all outdoor watering until further notice.
"We know it can be hard to adjust to watering limits, but these restrictions are essential to keep enough clean water in our system for everyone," said Patrick Nguyen, Water Operations Manager. "Following the schedule helps maintain steady pressure in your taps and protects our drinking water supply for the long summer ahead."
