Report missing or damaged signs during icy conditions

Winter weather has made it tough to see traffic and street signs across the city. Snow and ice cover the lower parts of posts, and plowing crews may not notice them until it is too late.

If you see a sign that is leaning, bent, or completely gone, please let us know. Reporting these issues now helps our maintenance teams schedule repairs before the ice makes the work unsafe for our crews.

"Every missing sign is a potential hazard for drivers and pedestrians," says James Whitford, Roads Superintendent. "When you report a sign through Service Wrenford, we can track it in our system and send a crew out to fix it as soon as the weather allows."

You can report a missing or damaged sign through the Service Wrenford portal or by calling 311. If you use the online form, try to include a photo so our staff can see exactly what needs to be replaced. Please stay off icy roads and sidewalks when heading out to check on signs. Keep your safety in mind and let our crews handle the repairs.

Once your report is in, a maintenance crew will review it and add it to their list. You can follow the progress of your report in your Service Wrenford account. For more information on how we maintain roads and signs through the winter, visit our Roads & Winter Maintenance page.
