Northgate Aquatic Centre swim lessons registration opens

Registration is now open for summer swim lessons at the Northgate Aquatic Centre, with classes beginning on June 2. Residents of all ages can sign up for programmes that cover everything from first-time toddler sessions to advanced strokes for teens and adults.

The aquatic centre at 910 Northgate Boulevard features a 50-metre pool, a dive tank, and a waterslide. Our certified instructors are ready to help you or your child build water confidence and learn essential safety skills in a supervised environment.

You can register online through the City’s recreation portal or in person at the centre’s front desk. Classes fill quickly, so we recommend signing up early. Registration is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. If you are planning a special event or need a permit for a facility, you can also review our Development Applications guidelines to understand how different requests are processed, or check the Planning applications registry for similar projects.

"We are excited to welcome swimmers of every skill level back to the water this summer," said Caroline Dubé, Recreation Programs Coordinator. "Our instructors are ready to help everyone build confidence and learn new techniques in a safe, supportive setting."

Please bring a well-fitting swimsuit, a towel, and goggles to your first class. The centre provides lockers and change rooms, but you must check in at the front desk 15 minutes before your session starts to complete the paperwork. Fees for the Wrenford Water Skills programme range from $45.00 for a four-week beginner course to $120.00 for a twelve-week advanced track.
