Crews from the City's infrastructure team finished repairs on the main irrigation lines at Larch Heights Golf Course on May 19, 2025. The course, located at 2100 Wrenford Line, will now be ready for play as the summer season begins.
The irrigation system had been showing pressure drops and leaking water onto the adjacent roadway earlier this month. Crews from Roads & Winter Maintenance and Water Operations worked together to locate the break, excavate the damaged section, and install new heavy-duty piping. The work was completed without closing any of the 18 holes to golfers.
"We knew the system needed attention before the spring greens opened," says Maya Chen-Watson, Parks Planner. "Getting the water flow back to normal means the course can maintain its fairways and greens safely through the summer."
The golf course is now using its approved water management plan for the season. Residents who notice any unusual water activity near the course can report it through the city's service portal. If you see a pothole or a drainage issue along Wrenford Line caused by the recent work, you can also report it online.
The City continues to upgrade aging infrastructure across the region. For more information on municipal facilities and maintenance schedules, visit the Larch Heights Golf Course page or call 519-555-0126.
