The City of Wrenford will be closed Monday, September 1, for the Labour Day holiday. Most services will follow a modified schedule over the long weekend.
City Hall and the Civic Operations Centre will be closed. The Service Wrenford counter, Council Chambers, and all administrative offices will not be open for walk-in or phone service. If you need to pay a parking ticket or property tax, use the Revenue Services drop box at City Hall or visit our online portal.
Wrenford Transit will run on a Saturday schedule. Check the Transit map for times. The Downtown Transit Terminal will follow these weekend hours.
Garbage, Blue Box, and Green Bin collection moves to Tuesday, September 2. If your collection day falls on Monday, please put your bins out on Tuesday morning. Paper yard-waste bags and Christmas tree pickup are not affected until January.
Parks, trails, and outdoor rinks will remain open. The Tamsin River Trail System and Centennial Gardens are available for your weekend plans. Note that the overnight winter parking ban does not start until December 1.
"We want to make sure everyone has a safe and relaxing long weekend," says City Manager Robert Eng. "Please plan your errands ahead of time, and check the full list of hours before you head out."
