Starting July 28, the City of Wrenford, led by Recreation Programs Coordinator Caroline Dubé, is extending operating hours at the Kingfisher Outdoor Pool to meet high summer demand. The pool will now open at 10:00 a.m. and stay open until 7:00 p.m. daily through Labour Day. The splash pad will also stay active until 8:00 p.m. on weekdays. You can visit the pool earlier before work or school and stay later in the evening to escape the heat. Lifeguards will be on duty throughout the extended hours to keep you and your family safe.
"We heard from families that they want more evening access to stay cool after the heat of the day," says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "Extending our hours ensures everyone in Wrenford has a safe, fun place to swim and play during the hottest weeks of summer."
You can register for swimming lessons and public swim sessions through the City's recreation portal. You can pay for drop-in admission at the front desk or online. The City also offers swim lessons for all skill levels, from beginner toddlers to advanced teens.
