Construction to upgrade the splash pad and pool basin at Kingfisher Outdoor Pool begins June 2. The project is located at 15 Kingfisher Court in the Kingfisher neighbourhood and is managed by the City's Roads & Winter Maintenance division in partnership with Recreation & Culture.
The work involves resurfacing the splash pad, replacing aging plumbing, and repairing the surrounding paving. Crews will operate Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Residents near the site may experience intermittent lane closures and temporary access restrictions for the next three weeks. The City asks drivers to expect slower traffic and pedestrians to use the alternate path along Corvid Way. Please keep children and pets away from the construction zone for their safety.
"We want to make sure families have a safe, modern splash pad and pool area when the season starts," says City Manager Robert Eng. "These upgrades will keep the facility running smoothly for years to come."
If you notice road damage or need to report a missed collection while crews are working, use the online service request tool or call 519-555-0100.
