Holiday schedule adjustments for Thanksgiving transit service 2025

Wrenford Transit and Wrenford Access will run on a Sunday schedule on Monday, October 13, 2025, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. All fixed routes, including the 20-series school specials, will follow the Sunday timetable.

City offices at Wrenford City Hall, 100 Mercer Street, will be closed on Monday. The Downtown Transit Terminal will operate with reduced hours from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Residents who need to purchase transit passes or book Wrenford Access trips should plan ahead and visit the terminal before Friday, October 10, or use the Wrenford Transit mobile app.

Wrenford Transit staff will not be available for regular in-person customer service on the holiday. For urgent travel changes, check Service Alerts on the City website or text a four-digit stop number to 311 for next-arrival updates.

"Thanksgiving is a time for families and rest, and we want to make sure riders can plan their trips without surprises," said Daniel Osei, Transit Manager. "We have updated the timetable so everyone knows exactly when the next bus is coming."

The Sunday schedule means slightly longer wait times on some routes, particularly Routes 5 through 14 that serve the newer neighbourhoods. Buses will still clear the downtown core and connect to the Tamsin River Trail System, but service frequency will drop to every 30 minutes instead of every 15 minutes.

Wrenford Access riders should note that specialized transit bookings on the holiday will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Passengers must still book at least one business day in advance through the Wrenford Transit app or by calling 519-555-0114.

We wish all Wrenford residents a safe and relaxing long weekend.
