Fire Station 4 exterior painting project underway

The City of Wrenford crews began exterior painting at Fire Station 4, located at 1220 Ambrel Lake Road, on Monday, August 11. The project will run through early October.

Work includes power washing, priming, and applying two coats of exterior paint to the station's brick and stucco facades. Expect work trucks, equipment, and temporary sidewalk closures on the north side of Ambrel Lake Road between Stonebridge Drive and the station entrance. Parking will be restricted during active hours from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

"We are refreshing the station's exterior to protect the masonry from weather damage and improve the building's appearance for the community," says James Whitford, Roads Superintendent. "Crews will work around the clock to keep the station fully operational, and we appreciate residents' patience while we complete this essential maintenance."

Fire and paramedic response times will not be affected. The station remains open 24/7. Residents on Ambrel Lake Road may experience occasional short delays due to work vehicles entering and exiting the site. Please allow extra time if you are passing through the neighbourhood during the day.

If you notice damaged pavement or loose gravel left by the work trucks, report it using the online tool. You can also sign up for alerts about other city construction projects.

The painting project is part of the City's ongoing facility maintenance program. More information about city construction projects and road work schedules is available on the Roads & Winter Maintenance page.
