Wrenford Fire Rescue will conduct a joint emergency training exercise at Eastfield Arenas (620 Eastfield Road) on Monday, August 11. The exercise runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., weather permitting, and will involve Wrenford Paramedic Services and the Wrenford Police Service.
Responders will simulate a structure fire and multi-vehicle collision at the Arenas. You can expect to see heavy emergency equipment, multiple fire trucks, ambulances, and police vehicles on site. There will be sirens, loud noises, and simulated rescue operations throughout the morning and early afternoon.
This is a training exercise only. There is no public safety concern. However, crews will be working in the parking lot and on the adjacent streets. We ask residents, visitors, and local businesses to avoid the Eastfield Arenas area while the exercise is in progress. Please plan alternative routes and give our crews space to work safely.
"Training like this keeps our crews ready for real emergencies," says Deputy Fire Chief Simon Hartley. "We practice these complex scenarios so that when a real incident happens, our response is fast, safe, and coordinated. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prepare to serve you."
