The City of Wrenford is introducing a set ice resurfacing schedule at the Eastfield Twin Arenas for January 2025. City Recreation staff will manage the process to keep all skating sessions running smoothly.
Ice resurfacing will take place on the following evenings:
- Tuesdays and Thursdays: 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays and Saturdays: 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Public skating sessions on these nights will begin at 11:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays. If a session is scheduled before the resurfacing window, it will be moved or cancelled. Check the Public skating sessions and schedules page for exact start times.
City staff will also be performing routine maintenance on the boards and glass during these windows. Please keep a safe distance from the ice surface and follow all posted signage. If you have a rental booking that falls during a resurfacing window, your permit will be adjusted automatically. For more details on how changes affect your booking, see the Booking amendment or cancellation page.
"We know a well-maintained ice surface makes a big difference for skaters and sports groups," says Caroline Dubé, Recreation Programs Coordinator. "This schedule gives us the time we need to keep the ice in top shape all month long while keeping sessions open for everyone."
Keep in mind that holiday hours may affect the schedule. New Year's Day falls on a Tuesday, and the arena will follow its Holiday hours for recreation schedule.
