On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, the City of Wrenford activated its Emergency Operations Centre at City Hall to monitor weather conditions and coordinate a city-wide response to an incoming winter storm.
A severe winter weather warning is in effect for Southwestern Ontario. The storm is expected to bring heavy snowfall, freezing rain, and strong winds over the next 48 hours. City staff are watching the weather closely and preparing for potential impacts on roads, transit routes, and public facilities. No evacuation orders have been issued at this time.
“Activating the Emergency Operations Centre means our emergency teams can work together in one place, track the storm in real time, and keep our community safe,” said Liam O’Rourke, Community Emergency Management Coordinator. “We are monitoring the situation closely and will share updates as conditions change.”
