Get your blankets ready. The City of Wrenford is hosting the final show of the Summer Sounds at Centennial Gardens series on Saturday, August 16, 2025. This free outdoor concert runs from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Centennial Gardens, 5 Victoria Street.
The evening will feature the Wrenford Community Symphony. The programme includes classical favourites and modern film scores. The band will play on the main lawn near the cenotaph.
Food trucks will be on-site from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. An accessible viewing area will be set up on the north side of the gardens, in front of the sound booth. Space is first-come, first-served. We encourage you to bring low chairs or a small blanket so you can enjoy the show without blocking the view of others. Please follow a pack-in, pack-out approach and take all waste home.
If you are driving, note that Victoria Street will be closed to through traffic from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on the day of the event, from Mercer Street to Church Street. Parking in the surrounding streets will be limited. We suggest walking, rolling, biking, or taking Wrenford Transit. The Downtown Transit Terminal is just a short walk away.
To keep the event safe, please follow these guidelines: do not bring barbecues, and smoking and alcohol are not permitted at the gardens. Do not set up large tents or umbrellas that could block sightlines. Help us keep the space clean.
"Summer Sounds at Centennial Gardens has been a highlight of our warmer months," said Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. "It is a wonderful chance for neighbours to come together, support local musicians, and enjoy our beautiful downtown parks. We hope you will join us for one last night of live music this summer."
This event is made possible through the generous financial support of the Province of Ontario and the Wrenford Chamber of Commerce. Their backing helps keep free programming accessible for all residents.
