Are you running a business or community group in Wrenford? You can now apply to be a vendor at Canada Day in the Park on July 1 at Centennial Gardens. The City is accepting applications through June 20. You can pick up a form at the Service Wrenford counter, 100 Mercer Street, or download it from the permits for special events and festivals page.
You will pay a $100.00 application fee if you are a non-profit group, or $300.00 if you are a commercial food or merchandise vendor. You must also provide proof of liability insurance with at least $5,000,000 in coverage, naming the City as an additional insured. Food vendors need to include a current food safety certificate.
"We want to keep the celebration safe and organized while giving local businesses a chance to show off their products to thousands of residents," says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services.
Applications are reviewed in the order they arrive. You will hear from us by June 27 if you are selected. On July 1, you must arrive by 8:00 a.m. to set up. The City provides standard picnic tables and electrical hookups for a small extra fee. Water and waste disposal are included in your fee.
We encourage you to follow the environmental initiative guidelines by using reusable service ware and avoiding single-use plastics whenever possible. You will need to take all your waste back or place it in the clearly marked bins we provide on-site.
