City Hall, Wrenford Transit and recreation facilities will follow a special schedule on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, for the Canada Day holiday. Please plan ahead for errands and waste collection so your day runs smoothly.
City Hall and Service Wrenford
Wrenford City Hall at 100 Mercer Street will be closed. The Service Wrenford counter, council chambers and clerk's office will not be open for in-person or phone service. If you need to pay a bill or submit a form, you can use the Revenue Services drop box at City Hall or the online service portal.
Wrenford Transit
No fixed-route or specialized transit service will run on July 1. Plan your travel using Wrenford Transit maps and schedules before the holiday. Emergency trips should be arranged through your care provider or a private service.
Waste collection
Garbage, Blue Box and Green Bin collection will follow the regular schedule. If your normal collection day falls on Tuesday, July 1, crews will collect on Monday, June 30. Please have your bins at the curb by 7:00 a.m.
Parks and recreation facilities
Outdoor parks, trails and splash pads will remain open. Riverside Flats Park will host Canada Day in the Park with limited vehicle access. Please use the Tamsin River Trail System trailheads at Ambrel Lake Park or Benchlands Lookout Park to reach the event area.
All indoor recreation facilities, including the Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre, Northgate Aquatic Centre and Westbrook Community Arena, will be closed. Outdoor pools and spray pads will operate on their standard summer hours.
