Boil water advisory lifted for Larch Heights Drive residents

The precautionary boil water advisory issued to residents of Larch Heights Drive has been lifted effective immediately. A repair to the water main serving the neighbourhood was completed on December 2, and routine water quality tests conducted by Tamsin Valley Public Health confirm that the drinking water meets all required safety standards.

Residents can now use their water without boiling it. If you have been using your water regularly over the past few days, you do not need to do anything else. The water flowing through your pipes has already flushed out any older water. If you were away and did not use your water during the advisory, we recommend turning on each cold-water tap for a few minutes to flush your home plumbing and draw in fresh water.

Water & Wastewater crews worked through the night to complete the main repair. The issue was caused by a section of pipe that developed a leak, which required shutting off service to the surrounding area while crews made the fix.

"Water safety is our top priority, and we appreciate the patience and cooperation of Larch Heights Drive residents while we completed the necessary repairs," said Patrick Nguyen, Water Operations Manager. "Our crews are available around the clock to respond to any water main issues, and we thank the community for helping us keep our system running smoothly."
