The City of Wrenford is now accepting applications for the 2026 Community Resilience Fund, a grant program designed to help you and your neighbourhood groups tackle climate adaptation and emergency preparedness projects. You can submit your proposals online from March 1 to May 31, 2026.
Wrenford is growing, and our weather is changing. This means our streets, parks, and public spaces need extra care. The fund supports projects that reduce flood risks, cool down hot neighbourhoods, and build safer community hubs. Whether you want to plant trees along a flood-prone street, upgrade drainage at a local park, or run a neighbourhood emergency workshop, your idea can get funding.
You and your group can receive up to $25,000 for smaller projects. If you are working on larger infrastructure or partnering with other local groups, you can apply for up to $50,000. The City reviews applications over a four-week period after the May 31 closing date. You will hear back about your application by late July. If approved, you must finish the project and submit a report by September 30, 2026.
"We know that the people living in a neighbourhood understand its needs better than anyone else," said City Manager Robert Eng. "This fund puts resources directly into the hands of residents and local groups, so we can build a safer, more prepared Wrenford together."
Before you apply, check the Wrenford Climate Risk Index to see how weather patterns affect your area. The Neighbourhoods team is also hosting information sessions at Wrenford City Hall and online to help you draft a strong proposal and understand the permit rules.
Visit the Apply for community resilience funding page to read the full guidelines and start your application. If you have questions about site requirements or paperwork, email the program team at [email protected].
The City wants to hear from you. Submit your proposal before the May deadline and help make your neighbourhood stronger and more sustainable. For more ways to get involved in local planning, visit the Neighbourhoods section.
