The splash pad at Ambrel Lake Park is officially open for the season as of May 10, 2025. Families and visitors can enjoy the cool water features daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. through Labour Day weekend.
Located at 1350 Ambrel Lake Road in the south-east neighbourhood, the new spray park is part of the City's ongoing efforts to expand outdoor recreational spaces. The addition complements the existing playground and picnic shelters at the park, giving residents a complete destination for summer outings. Park upgrades like this are tracked through the Development Applications portal, where you can see past and current projects across the city.
Residents are encouraged to visit the splash pad and make the most of Wrenford's outdoor amenities this year. Please remember to bring sunscreen, stay hydrated, and supervise children at all times while playing. The City also reminds visitors that the Tamsin River Trail System and Ambrel Lake Park boardwalk are open for walking and cycling, making it easy to combine a splash pad visit with a trail ride.
"We know how much our residents value their public parks, and adding this splash pad gives the Ambrel Lake community a fantastic new gathering spot for the summer," says Caroline Dubé, Recreation Programs Coordinator.
The splash pad is free to use and requires no registration. For information about booking the nearby picnic shelters, visiting other City parks, or applying for a municipal property use permit, please visit the Parks & Trails page.
