The City of Wrenford Parks & Trails team has finished clearing the main loop pathway at Ambrel Lake Park, making it safe and ready for winter recreation. Work wrapped up on Tuesday, January 20, 2025, ahead of the busy mid-winter weekend.
The pathway now features a smooth, packed surface ideal for walking, running, and cross-country skiing. As part of the Winter Trail Clearing Programme, the City maintains selected trails for snow and ice removal from November through March. This regular upkeep ensures you can enjoy the outdoors safely, regardless of recent weather.
Please remember to follow trail etiquette and safety rules while you are out. Keep dogs on a six-metre leash on shared pathways, and observe the 9:00 p.m. quiet hours for trail recreation under the Noise By-law. If you see a maintenance issue, a hazard, or a fallen tree, report it right away. You can use the online form or call 311 so crews can respond quickly.
Keeping our trails accessible and safe during the colder months is a top priority for our Parks & Trails team, says Maya Chen-Watson, Parks Planner. We want to make sure you have a great place to exercise and relax all winter long.
